Day 05: The biggest misconception you think people have about single life

I came across a word.. A long long time ago and since then i believe it is a powerful word.

SINGLE-BLESSEDNESS.

I cant recall when and where i came across this word but from that day onwards.. I have always held on to that word whenever one asks me about my singlehood.

People nowadays tend to think that being single means being alone and lonely. You do things by yourself like when u dine out in restos, watch a movie, hang out in coffee shops and roam around the mall. You wont be receiving flowers, sweet messages, unexpected emails and so on and so forth. These scenarios ultimately define single life as to being a lonely moment in a person's life.

As for me, i was enlightened that the Single life that i am experiencing as of the moment is not at all a lonely time in my existence. Frankly speaking, it is a moment in my lifetime that i discover a whole lot more that the world has to offer and a whole lot more about my self. I can strengthen my faith in our Lord almighty, discern things about Him when i meet with my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. I can freely travel places and explore new hobbies, meet new faces, i can have my "alone" time whenever i want and whenever i feel like it. I can stay in the mall and do window shopping without anybody nagging me about the time. I still receive flowers from friends and sweet messages from my family. Now who said that single life is lonely? It's SINGLE BLESSEDNESS indeed.

It is never true and undoubtedly a misconception of many that the single life is lonely. The fact that i can do all of these just serves as a living proof that i am happy that i am single.

xoxo
